By far, the best sushi I’ve ever had. Chef Hiro is very experienced with over 40 years of experience, and is also very entertaining.
For a California based sushi bar I was not that impressed. I’ve had much fresher and much better sushi in phoenix az. It wasn’t terrible but these other reviews made it sound much better than it really was. If you cannot find any other bar then check it out otherwise pass it up.
The sushi really is awesome! My wife and I have been coming here since 1996 and are never disappointed. Hiro is very talented and creative. Try the sauteed calamari.
Awesome Sushi. My wife and I rarely leave our bubble in Tustin. We happened upon Kotobuki this week and the experience there was simply awesome! Hiro was our sushi chef and he is the most creative and skilled chef we have ever had. We started with simple sushi, tuna and salmon. the salmon was so fresh! We tried some sort of tempura roll followed by chicken and meat kabobs. From there it was time for more sushi – hand rolls to dip and simple shrimp too! We are amazed at the quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff. It’s 8 miles from home, but well worth the drive. Awesome sushi!
