Where’s Willie Degel?. A friend and I were looking for a nice Sunday breakfast while on business. We found Lulu’s on a local search, and thought crepes would be nice.Lulu’s appeared to be a quaint French cafe even if located in the more Spanish style surroundings of Laguna Hills. We entered at about 11am to find the cafe about 2/3 full with no line, and several tables open.My friend notified the gentleman who greeted us that we were two, and we were told we would have to wait for a table. My friend indicated the open tables and we were told that they were being saved for larger parties, and we would have to wait for a table for two to come open.As we were waiting, I noticed three of the tables inside were only occupied by parties of two, so I enquired why we were waiting when it was obvious that other two person Artie’s were seated at four person tables. The gentleman who had identified himself as the owner began to offer me an explanation which amounted to double talk and a lie. I explained to him that we had come to his restaurant to spend money on his food, and he replied to what I took to mean he didn’t care. I chuckled and suggested it sounded as if he didn’t want my business, and his reply was to say he didn’t and go to open the front door for me to leave. We did.But to cap off this unpleasant experience, he followed us outside as we headed for our car and continued to argue and berate us.Apparently many people have had the time of their lives at Lulu’s. However my thought is that with how fast he went argumentative with a new customer he has done this before. This restaurant could have found a new regular customer who spends money and usually tips 25% or higher.

Great attention focused on detail: atmospheric, meal prep, meal presentation, tableside service. Owner waits tables; charming, culturally American with french flair. Recommend Louisiana omelet and muffins for the road. Worth the drive anywhere in OC.. even N/B or SurfCity.

Gustatory. Nice place. Good and friendly service. Owner cook shows personal concern. Chanteuse made it feel like Paris left bank. Can’t wait to be in Orange County again and move from Sand Dabs to lamb.

Good food with not so good location and service, not like crazy about the food too, but it is good, I wonder why it is under popular

Authentic French cooking. Besides the wonderfully cooked French food, the ambience is typical of Parisienne French Bistros.I have visited Paris many times and this is a little bit of Paris in Laguna Hills

I give it 5 out of 5. This is hands down the best restaurant I’ve ever been to and the finest in the country. The food is incredibly delicious, the smoked sea food, lamb and the best part is the Crpe was exceptional. We were a party of 5 people and had the Crpe La Mer, Duck a l’Orange, Rack of Lamb Provenal and Poached Salmon Mousseline loved it. I am a dessert person especially Britanny Crpe Suzette and Homemade Vanilla Au Cognac, Bittersweet Ice Cream du Jour are a must to try. This restaurant is a must for anyone who loves great food. We will definitely go back in the future. I am managed and run many restaurant all my life but this is the excellent Thanks to the great creation and discovery of all the new dishes but Master/ Guru and Chef Lino Garriz.

Great Food and Entertainment. My friends and I went to Lulu’s for dinner and had a terrific time. We not only enjoyed the food, but the wonderful singer that they had there during dinner. The service was prompt and the waitress was very sweet. I had the rack of lamb with a delicious rice pilaf and the most incredible green beans I have ever eaten! My friends had the filet mignon and a seafood crepe — both were very tasty. However, for dessert, we had a Bananas Foster Crepe topped with this incredible homemade vanilla ice cream — so yummy!!! I am going back to try the rest of the dessert crepes they offer there!
