This IS the place to get an actual BAGEL!. This IS the place that has, as close as you can get, a New York style Bagel. (They have all the other flavors of Bagels and Cream Cheeses that those in South County demand.) Very good dense and properly prepared, boiled than baked, Bagels. What impressed me was that I did not have to tell the Counter Person how I wanted my Bagel and Nova Lox prepared. She asked me if I want it the classic way and told me what that was and it was actually correct! ALL the products were Very Good and they used REAL regular cream cheese…not the ‘Lite’ or immitation stuff that so many other places use. I purchase all my Bagels here now. I have tried their Water, Egg and Everything and all three types were Very Good. I cannot give it that GREAT BAGEL rating, they don’t use NYC water..unfortunately, in this case, it is the water that makes ALL the difference in the production of a TRUE Bagel. But this IS as good as you can get without a $450.00 plane ticket, $50.00 cab ride, from the Airport and a $550.00 per night Hotel Room.
Finally a local place to get good bagels. Good atmosphere, frendly and free wifi.
