Hard to find a quality breakfast joint now a days. I always love a good breakfast spot, IHOP is so mainstream and the food is so average. Places like this really are my favorite. Friendly staff an extremely good food, hard to find any complaints for these local gems..

Do not let the long line/reviews fool you!. As of late I am marveling at the long lines at establishments that do not deserve that level of patronage. Long waiting lines, busy, busy…You expect a very good meal once you get a table. I am almost convinced that, in this case, the majority is not always right. Specially where this poor excuse for an establishment is concerned. Seriously, folks, I have no particular grudge but I do respect the consumer crowds, and I find is almost a duty to report to these international or local crowds, when a place sucks big lemons. Yes, they make plenty of money and the place is packed, but they charge a pretty penny and their food is mediocre.Spent around $60, gratuity included. Cook must have been mad at the world or the food just sucks big lemons. Pancakes (around $9) mushy, undercooked. Waffles ($8.50?) flat as a pancake, silly size. A total let down. How can a business that claims expertise in batters present this poor excuse for a waffle? What kind of a self respecting cook would allow such mediocre fare to grace a table? Asked for whip cream, got curled cream instead.Western Omelette ($11.50) the worst and most expensive. Everything diced so small, barely enough to make it decent. Not fluffy at all, bad cook. Spinach Crepes ($9) a joke on the consumer. Yet this place always crowded. Go figure. Buy some good bacon, good eggs, aunt jemina pancake mix, brew your own coffee and I can guarantee it will be better. Do not let the long lines fool your wallet! Large number of people can be a misleading sign when it comes to the Original Pancake House. Save your hard earned money, don’t believe the hype, and you will spare yourselves a pretty sad investment. 2 Stars (mostly for the lovely waitress a la Angeline Jolie).

Ultimately this is my favorite breakfast place. My two favorite things are the Swedish pancakes and the Dutch baby especially with strawberries.

Absolutely the best breakfast place – hands down. We having been coming here for 14 years and the quality has remained has never changed. The Swedish Pancakes are flavorful and light . The apple pancake is huge and really can’t be finished by one person. It is unlike anything you have ever seen – it stands at least 4-6 inches tall and takes up the entire plate. The cinnamony apples cover it and are delicious! I also a fan of the strawberry creeps and the apple crepe. The syrups that come with these are amazing and compliment them perfectly. My kids are fans of the chocolate pancakes which are also filling and usually head home partially in a to go box. The potato pancakes are also a great change of pace and if you are a fan of potatoe pancakes you will not find better ones this side of New York city. One word of caution is that this is not a place you go to for a fast bite to eat. There is always a long line and a long wait (at least on the weekenda which is when we go there). The service is fine but this is made to order food. If you want to spend the morning with you family this is the place to do it.

Miss Muffin Top Eats Swedish Pancakes. We eat here 2 or 3 times a month. They open at 7am and we usually arrive when they open. By the time we leave, there are usually people waiting for tables. My favorite thing to order are the Swedish pancakes. You get 3 huge panckes with lingonberries (on the side) and real whipped butter 9on the side). My husband always orders the same thing…a ham and swiss omelette w/ a side of pancakes. The omelettes are made with 6 eggs and clarified butter. They are round and fluffy, not the fold-over kind. The meat and cheese are incorprated into the eggs and then baked. I actually do not care for their regular pancakes. They are too yeasty for me. The pecan waffle is amazing. I usually bounce between the Swedish pancake and the pecan waffle. The orange juice is freshly squeezed and the coffee is good. The service is always good and the staff is friendly. They leave your check at the table while you are eating. It is nice not to have to wait for the check when you are ready to leave.I have never had a bad meal at this location.

Eggs Benedict for me!!! Hubby loves the Dutch baby with lemon juice and powdered sugar. Kids love the pancakes and hot cocoa. Always a packed house so get there early, especially on the weekend. This place has delicious food and friendly waitstaff. They are so good to our three kids. Yum yum!

Two words – Dutch Baby! It’s may be the largest pancake I’ve ever seen… And it’s delicious! It’s baked and so fluffy! Anyway, I’ve tried other things there too and not been disappointed but always seem to come back to the Dutch Baby 🙂
