Excellent delicious and fresh breakfast. Always I dine in when I visited USA. Dutch baby, Swedish pancake, pancakes, eggs are very tasty and delicious. The staff is friendly and definitely I will come again.
I have been coming to this location for years, as my sister lives literally up the street. The OPH has locations all over the United States, and each location has certain quirks of their own. This south OC location also owns the Redondo Beach location, which Stephen and I go to regularly.Like most OPH, they’re open for breakfast and lunch, and the line during the weekend is insane. The average wait time during the weekend is between 45 minutes to an hour. Fortunately if you come midweek, like we did on Tuesday, you can be seated immediately at 10 AM.The menu focus on breakfast items, and not limited to just pancakes. Aside from the different versions of pancakes, they offered egg dishes, crepes, and even meat dishes like their corned beef hash.I typically order the potato pancakes with a side of bacon. The bacon is thick, smoky and meaty, but pricy as a side of 4 slices will set you back almost $5.I enjoyed the food, but the service was to be desired. We had to ask for refills on coffee, we had to ask for napkins, we had to ask for cream. The saving grace was the food came out fast, which raises this review to a four-star.Parking can be difficult, and the lot is small. It’s also not a cheap place, as our breakfast came to $60 before tip. callmemochelle.com
