The Art District is crowded and chaotic on the weekends. So is this place, as folks jockey for a place in the ordering line and lurk like vultures over other customers finishing up their meals at the limited number of tables. We were lucky to snare part of a shared table in a shady bower carved out of the side of the tiny parking lot. The reason for this popularity is the bread. This is an oasis in a bread desert. Its loaves rival those of Tartine, Acme, and Semifreddi in San Francisco. And the sandwiches they make with that bread are amazing. Quirky names describe often unusual ingredients in original and tasty combinations. Their pastries are good, too, although the rugelach was so big that it was a bit under baked in the middle. Small complaint. We wound up bucking the line again to buy two loaves of bread and more pastry.

This place us a little gem! I was on a music video right across the street from this place and the producer Ari Robbins was kind enough to cater us with this food! I loved loved Loved it and I know that the Feline Foody share my opinion on this wonderful little place. They have some very unique items on the menu and packaged up to go. The staff is very friendly and everything is fresh! I say in this sea of no good food know as LA this place is a must try if you happen to be downtown or visiting Ari!
The bread was like a rock. Rude staff, and took more than 30 minutes to get my sandwich,
