I went here for a planned family dinner with a total of 7 in our party. We had Mongolian beef, Kung Pao beef, beef and broccoli, chicken chow mein, roast pork fried rice, steamed pork buns, orange chicken, vegetable egg rolls, and sticky rice. All the dishes were phenomenal. Drinks were lemon tea (excellent) and water. Fortune cookies were fresh and crunchy. We took a big bag of leftovers home. The bill was a jaw-dropping (in a good way) $60. We tipped well and will return.
I’m golden. After our cruise ship made a final port of call in los angeles, we headed to golden city for dinner. they serve up fresh, live lobster and other typical chinese fare. overall pretty good in the heart of LA chinatown.
One Word… Amazing!. This was my first visit to Chinatown, and it definitely will not be my last! A small group of us had lunch at Golden City Seafood Restaurant and had some of the most amazing Chinese food I’ve ever had. Hot tea and hot & sour soup were immediately brought to our table when we sat down. We ordered fried dumplings, squid with spicy salt, beef with french style, and orange peel chicken. Each plate was brought to the table as soon as it was ready which made for an ongoing feast of fresh, piping hot, delicious food. My standout favorites were the squid with spicy salt and orange peel chicken. All of this amazing food also comes at an extremely low cost, which is unheard of anymore!
