This Honda Ya is no good. I’ve been to the Honda Ya in Orange County and this place does not live up to the bar set buy the original location. The food was bland, portions were smaller, smaller menu, less quality cut of meat, and watered down beer.. Yes watered down. Save the trip for a better option, In my opinion it is worth the trip to head to the original location in OC then sit and wait on the slow service here.

We drove down from ventura county for shopping and authentic meal with friends and family .the relaxed atmosphere was fun and busy, the presentation and food was good and tasty. it’s time for lunch and i’m craving sushi and wished i lived closer. worth the wait and the trip.
Worst Service Ever!. We have been coming here for several years, and the experience has been increasingly disappointing. Tonight was the worst service I have received in any restaurant ever in my life. From now on you wioll be living without the over priced $350 a month we have been dropping in your restaurant!
Pretty Good. I have really enjoyed this place. It was very crowded when we got there and were given a seat at the bar! It was amazing, you could watch the chef making the food.We’ve ordered about 8 different dishes and we loved all of them.Great, authentic place!
Under-performed Yakitori and Sashimi. I could understand the hype of Honda-Ya, it’s very lively; a good place to dine on a weeknight. Other than that, their food was under-performed.Yakitori items didn’t have the charcoal grill flavor, why? I suspected they were not grilled all the way with charcoal. 7-Kind Sashimi came with thin sliced sashimi and they were not very fresh.We got there at 7:15 PM, so the wait time was only 15 minutes. By the time we left at 9 PM, the wait line was so long; so be prepared.
