A spponful of disrespect is all you get here!. We were regulars at this place, but no good food is worth the disrespect this owner gives. We waited 2 hours and waited outside as there’s not enough room inside to wait. At 930pm he does roll call. Apparently we didn’t hear him. When we asked him why he crossed our name off he said we were absent from roll call. After 8 yrs coming here he dismissed us like yesterdays leftovers. The taste of my treatment will last longer then the taste of food. He also doesn’t allow cell phone use while eating and also no socializing allowed while eating. They treat you like a herd of goats. I give this place NO stars but yelp requires at least one star. Nobody is better then the next person. We are all equals, thus I refuse to pay someone to treat me like a pheasant. Go across the street to shabu shabu YO where u can eat, socialize and enjoy a dinner date with respect. Food always Taste better with a spoonful of respect
As simple and unimpressive as it may seem to some, literally thousands of customers can’t be wrong. Day after day, year after year, people still faithfully line up to experience Shabu Shabu House! Often imitated by others, but never duplicated. If there’s one negative comment I can make, is that the staff gives you the bill 5-10 minutes after being seated.
What’s the Big Deal?. There is always a crazy line for this restaurant so you assume it’s amazing. After an hour or more wait, we get seated and it’s just Shabu Shabu. It’s not great or memorable. Yes, they cut the meat with a big meat cutter in front of you but so what? It still is just mediocre shabu shabu. I would NEVER wait that long again.
The Only Shabu Shabu Place I Would Go. If I go out for Shabu Shabu, Shabu Shabu House is the only place where I would go. The sauce from other copy cats are not even close. Go quality of beef.
I have been going to this location since they opened at least 15 years ago, but lately I have not beenable to get in due to the large list at the front door of waiting hungry people It opens for dinner at 5:30 I think and by 5 there is already a list of people waiting for the place to open and have there names called. I have givenup on my last 6 visits and gone across the street If you are lucky enough to get in,the service is quick,the food plentiful,and economical . Good Luxk
Shabu Shabu House. I was a sushi aficionado, but a shabu shabu novice when I stepped into the SSH. The owner saw my unfamiliarity with the process, left his station and came over to guide me through the program, giving me numerous tips to heighten the taste. Came over later again to make sure I had been paying attention. A GREAT EXPERIENCE. I have since tried a few others elsewhere, but none could compare Any time I have to eat downtown, SHH it will be. THE BEST and super helpful.
