What a wonderful restaurant serving both vegan and macrobiotic menus. All food ir organic and natural. Reservations are needed and the staff is very friendly and efficient. I strongly suggest the tasting menu in order to sample several of their tasty menu items. All food was delicious, but on the pricy side. This should be expected for this type of restaurant if you want quality food. I really enjoyed their soup, we tried two and shared. The ramen was excellent, as well as the scallops. This is an especially good place if you are trying this type of food for the first time
The food was pretty good, nothing extraordinary. We had the dynamite roll and the crunchy tiger hidden dragon rolls and I had the shojin ramen. Those were all noted as their best items but did not meet our high expectations. The ingredients seemed very fresh. The place is difficult to find we weren’t even sure if it was there as it is hidden behind a curtain. It took a long time for us to get service even though there were only one or two tables being served. Also the food was overpriced even for the high quality of the ingredients. The serves were pretty nice but so slow.As a vegan I did not have a good experience here. There are not a ton of vegan restaurants and this presented veganism in a not so good light. I would love to see a place that is more open and doesn’t seem so exclusive. I will not be returning.
Believe the hype and don’t let the outside fool you. The food was delicious and I’ve never met such kind waitresses. All of them were so warm and hospitable. They took our picture, printed it, and made us an anniversary card. Would recommend to all foodies (regardless of carnivore status) for any special occasion.
Extremely attentive and kind service plus really good food beautifully prepared makes for an enjoyable and interesting meal. Add to that an atmosphere I can only describe as 80s retro (in a good way) with a jazz soundtrack and it’s a memorable experience. Stepping out into the mall in Little Tokyo afterwards is jarring, like you’ve just stepped out of dreams of otherworldly Japanese food.
You must eat here. Easily one of the top five best meals of our lives. get the dynamite roll. get five of them. share. or don’t. prepare for a life-changing experience!
Love it. I love their food and philosophy. very simple, flavorful, and healthy. their sushi rolls are to die for.
Fairly Good. For a vegetarian, it’s exciting to find places that have things like vegetarian dragon rolls and orange chicken. So their menu is good, the execution might not be great. My boyfriend (not a vegetarian) worships their tofu soba noodle soup. Their desserts are pretty good. Their pumpkin soup was not good at all. The atmosphere, despite being in a shopping mall is romantic and comfortable.
