Favorite LA watering hole. More a pub than a restaurant, but great as either. Spent the night there when the Kings won the cup and it was suprising dead. The bartender seemed to be able to make magic drinks out of almost anything. Next visit ate supper on the patio. The burger though overcooked was very good. The idea of combining Jalpenos and pineapple on a burger is amazing. Another nice touch is the fact they still will let you bring your dog on the patio.Service 3/5Food 5/5Value 4/5
Worth The Trip. Great experience with free parking lot after 6 pm. Have been several times and never disappointed. The burgers are soooo good that the sandos are undiscovered. The Trainwreck was great (roast beef, turkey, pepperoni and provlone with fresh fixins on the best roll ever) and The Escondite (Italian beef, provolone and gravy) was fabulous. If you like the food, you love the price. Where can you get a great sandwich with fries or a salad for $9 or under? The Buffalo Mushroom are good but the Teriyaki Steak Tips are to die for…one of the best appetizers ever. The beer selection is impressive, the mixed drinks are inventive and the service is prompt and friendly.Love the outside patio and the view. This place will blow up….it’s only a matter of time..
Best Burgers.. The burgers are pure genius. They’re crazy delicious. They have old school names like the Captain Kangaroo and Boss Hogg (which is my favorite). And you definitely need to try the buffalo mushrooms….I just can’t seem to get enough of it. Great selection of booze. The decor is awesome. The wall fixture behind the bar is amazing. I heard they inherited from a former prime minister of Bavaria who loved the burgers. The Escondite is definite must. Best burgers in Los Angeles (and I travel from the westside to downtown for them).
