Came in for a quick bit. We beat the lunch rush by 10 minutes (1045 to 1230). I ordered the crawfish touffe. It came magma-level hot and I had to wait for it to cool down but worry not! It was accompanied by a piece of cornbread with butter and some apple butter. Cornbread was excellent. The touffe itself was hearty in rice and flavor and very generous in the amount of crawfish. You could find chunks liberally added. Good looking out on the cook for not skimping on crawfish. The husband ordered biscuits and gravy with a side of hash browns. The biscuits are HUGE. He thought the gravy was good too and also studded throughout with bits of sausage. The hash browns did not impress but the food was excellent otherwise.

This place was amazing! Amazing! We were not sure what we wanted at all so the waitress brought out a small sample of the jambalaya for my husband to try. He ended up ordering that and loved it (second best he’s had, including several different places in New Orleans). I went with the Cajun special sandwich the waitress recommended with added mushrooms. For desert we ordered the beignet with powdered.sugar, strawberries and bananas. The food was so good and the service amazing. I very highly recommend.

Regulars. This is our go-to breakfast spot for our weekend breakfast as a family. My daughter wakes up every Sunday morning ready to get dressed and go get beignets. The staff is fabulous and the food is great! Our cups are always full and so our we when we leave. We’ve never had a bad breakfast here. My daughter used to order the Mickey Mouse pancakes, but they would sometimes bring her MInnie Mouse pancakes-necklace, earrings, and all! As long as we live in Lompoc, we will be regulars at the Cajun Kitchen Cafe!

Good selection, huge portions, thick cut bacon. May not be health food but they make a great breakfast.

Don’t get the biscuits and gravy!!!! It’s made with bacon, not sausage. It just tastes like bacon grease over biscuits!
