Nice atmosphere, pleasant and helpful guy at register. I ordered today’s special BBQ’d Beef Burrito. BBQ’d Beef Burrito was tasty but only had faint hint of the- smokey flavor you get from real BBQing. That may have been due to the lack of meat. Adding 1/2 or even 1/3 more meat would have made this worth the $8.89 spent.
OK, if Guy Fieri was visiting this place he would probably call it a Dive, but the food is fantastic. It’s not that it’s bad or dirty, it’s just that they didn’t spend a bunch of money on the dining area. But the food is fantastic. All that being said they are moving (unsure if it’s moving or just an additional location) to the Old Carrow’s place on H street in Lompoc. That should help. The food is fantastic, did I mention that?
Good Lord that was good. I had the taco special (three carnitas tacos, a side of beans and rice). The food was fresh and well made. Hubby had a man-wich burrito (steak and bacon). Will definitely be coming back.
5 Stars. Camerones con Pastor Burrito! Pairs Excellent with Cold Beer! My Fav in Town!
Very Good. It is definitely a hole-in-the-wall place, but the food is great. The Shrimp Ceviche is a great starter and have tried both the red and green enchiladas…the green is hot, but if you like spicy it is very enjoyable. A welcome and prefered alternative to tex-mex.
Mixed bag of tricks. For me, it was a mixed bag of tricks. Yes, the food was very good, but the rest of the experience is a little less spectacular. It’s a store/butcher shop with a handful of tables wedged in. You order at the counter, and are served food on paper plates, and get plastic utensiles. Is the food excellent? Absolutely. I asked for chips and salsa (usually free) and was given a plate of chips for an added $2.00. The hot green salsa was oddly different, but fantastic. The fish tacos missed the mark with me – but were still very tastey. The food is a solid commodity, but it’s not what I would rank high in terms of a full service restaurant.
Wow. Wet burritos is simply the best. Mouth waters just thinking about it.
