Not At All Awesome. The restaurant is called Awesome Sushi. The restaurant is not Awesome. The sushi is not Awesome. In fact, the place doesn’t qualify to be called Convenience Sushi. That would mean ok to good sushi and friendly efficient service. You don’t go out of your way for it, but if you live within walking distance or are driving by, it works. It is convenient.Well I was driving by Wednesday evening and decided to order take out. Server promptly took my order and my money. Then I waited 30 minutes. Nobody stopped at any point to explain what was taking so long. They sat and served two other tables that arrived ten minutes after I had. When I finally approached them and asked about my order, they said that the deep fried roll takes a long time. Half an hour to deep fry something? It’s not as if the restaurant was busy. It was about half full. My mistake was waiting so long and not getting my money back and leaving. But there was a basketball game on the TV. The sushi itself was decent but no better and probably worse then the other places I could have chosen.

The worst piece ever was the spicy scallop dont eat it, it was hard for me not to spit it out. Overall after wasting money on over priced nasty sushi we went to in n out for burgers.

Awesome sushi really does live up to its name. Fantastic service GREAT food. I’ll be back again and again!!

Worst sushi I’ve had so far in LB. The fish tasted like it had been sitting out for a while, not fresh at all. And the Tokyo sun tasted like cat food. I will not be going back even though a friend had recommended it.
My family &i love this place.everything is fresh and yummy. Personal favorites are the super bob, the 747, & the awesome roll. But don’t stop with those…try em all! And honestly, the service is excellent. Oh yeah, the black sesame creme brle is yummy too.
