After having teaspoons, it’s hard to go back to other boba places. I still do try new boba / tea places and can’t help but to compare them to Teaspoons. Now to the goods..This is for their tea’s since I haven’t tried their shaved ice…Anyway.. They use loose tea leaves and Most of their tea’s are brewed to order using a teapresso machine. You can choose your sweetness level, and customize your own. There are a few drinks that you won’t be able to customize sweetness like, Taro Lover, Thai Tea, Sweet Marshmallow. They have a good variety of teas to choose from. So far, I enjoy the Mojito’s, Grasshopper, Taro Lover – but it is a little sweet for my taste so I just ask for less boba and taro chunks or just get one or the toppings, Roasted Tea Crema, Paradise Lime, and Japanese Rice tea. They let you sample their toppings which is a plus. The establishment is small with 3 tables inside, so do expect a line. They have seating outside too.
Best boba place in the Bay. You’ll find very few Teaspoon locations here in Silicon Valley, but this Los Altos location started it all. First location is by far the best. The tea here is freshly brewed. Not artificial and no powder (except for taro because, duh, it’s taro.) That’s how I like my tea. There’s a wide variety of drinks to choose from. Some drinks are recommended to be enjoyed as milk tea. Some of my favorite drinks:(W/ Milk): Osmanthus Oolong, Earl Grey, Assam, Japanese Rice, Peach Oolong(W/O Milk): Lychee Black Tea, Rose Pedal Tea, High Mountain Oolong…& a lot more. They also have specialty drinks. Rose Tea Crema is delicious, Mojito’s are good as well. Drinks are reasonably priced with their size and freshness (~$4 & +$1 for any topping). Shaved ice served here as well.Customer service is good, even when they’re busy. Sign up for rewards & get drinks half off or free!!A few tips: a small place with limited seating (they have outdoor seating); take drinks to-go no bathroom INSIDE, must take a key and go to a bathroom outside that is nearby sometimes, parking is a little hard, only when it’s busy try their free samples, 2 drinks to try always out/5
