When we want a fancy burger with all the fixings, this is where we go. So many styles to choose from Barbecue to Hawaiian. Their french fries are tasty and the drink menu is large. The decor is inviting with Hawaiian Surf theme. Great place to hit before or after a movie at the Megaplex theater next door.
When it comes to American Veggie Burger or American Burger, this is the best place in Mira Mesa Blvd. The burgers are simply amazing. The taste is quite enhanced the the sweet potato fries or the onion rings which go with it. The price is just right for you to relish the wonderful burgers here. Good ambience and service. But food is costly. Tried fish tortilla with guacamole. The waiter suggested beans as sides. It was a good combo. But the tortillas lacked flavor. Added secret seasoning that they had to add some flavor to it.
Sad to say but Islands was overpriced and underwhelming. Food was average at best. Staff was friendly but food was slow and came out in a random order. Want a good burger? Try In-N-Out across the street!
Jeremy V. is great guy.. My wife and I come to Islands about once a month and we were there in Mira Mesa on February 25th, 2012. Jeremy was professional, friendly and a great server! His presence will guarantee our return!Also, we LOVE their onion rings and chicken fingers.Yours, Chaz
