Best chicken fried steak in south county
Cold fries ok sandwich. Service was ok.
A True Family Breakfast Cafe’. One of the oldest ways to judge a restaurant like this one on who successful and good it is, is look and she who and what is parked in parking lot any weekday morning when they open. Tradesmen and other working type trucks and the usual smattering of regulars, every week day morning, they are here…for a reason, REALLY good breakfast. And later the same for Lunch. I and the Family have been coming here for over 20 years, on a regular basis and have never had a bad experience. Paul’s serves classic american ‘greasy spoon’, for lack of better discription, food. HUGE portion of: Chicken Fried Steak, (covers the whole plate & is served with House Potatos, eggs and toast.), Omelettes, Egg – You name it and with what they have it…Lunch same: Sandwiches, Burgers…etc. All GOOD EATS and served the way you would expect these dishes to be served. Oh and by the way, they serve a Cinnamon Roll in the morning, (until they are gone), that can easily serve two adults, or one High School Football player, and it weighs about a pound. For those looking for the ‘Vegan’ breakfast experience or Fat Free, reduced cholestoral, baked, egg beaters, Earth Balance spread, with Soy Bacon….Go some where else, don’t even park, just go North on PCH to any speciality Cafe’ in Laguna Beach and have your Macrobiotic Breakfast, enjoy!
Great breakfasts!. I’ve been eating at Paul’s for years and I can’t recall ever having a bad breakfast. The country fried steak and eggs and the biscuits and gravy are two of my favorites. And their cinnamon rolls are the best in town, hands down!
Worst breakfast I’ve ever had. All the coffee creamers had gone bad so we asked for some fresh ones. The waitress brought out some fresh ones and then tossed some of fresh ones in with the remaining old ones. Nice little surprise for the next customer. Service was slow and the food was aweful. My pancakes were almost raw. I never eat there again.
Paul’s is hands down the best breakfast place in the area. A must!!!
Great food and awesome service! Chocolate chip pancakes are to die for and so are the cinnamon rolls.
