Hands down my favorite OC sushi bar. I say this not because I live two blocks from the bar, but because it is superbly prepared sushi. The staff feels like family and will cater to whatever you desire. S4U gets busy at the end of the week, and rightfully so, which can annoy the fast food sushi goer, but patience pays off with fresh beautiful rolls served in a lively atmosphere. Try the Martini Roll– my favorite.
Dinner for two. We shared two nice sized rolls, yellow tail sushi, sea weed salad, and green tea ice cream. The chef gave us spicy tuna on a tempura leaf it was a nice dichotomy of warm, cold, sweet and spicy.. The Yellow tail had a little soju and lemon on a slice of cucumber. I really liked it, just a drop less lemon next time. Not the typical Japanese flavor profile.I would go back again. I liked our chef but you never knew which chef was going to make your dish.The combinations on the menu appear to be the best value. I am also going back to try their Bento Box.Each dish was beautifully presented. The fish was good. The place was busy on a Sunday night.
