Read a Review-came to enjoy. 2/16/14 Each dish we ordered was an unexpected tasteful delight. Starting with the jar of olives, served warm, in an garlic spiced olive oil sauce, with tiny slices of carrot. Served with slices of baguette for dipping. Then the Caesar salad lightly dressed, with incredible tasting capers. On to crab cakes for me, braised short ribs for her and grilled flatbread topped with cheese and slices of cooked potatoes. Empty plates all around. Most of the diners near us had been there several times before which indcates that the Chef procures the finest ingredients and prepares them with love and skill to delight the customers.Hard to find, but well worth the journey. Good wine. Food was also amazing. Convenient location. Parking was annoying. I thought the prices were too high for the portion size and the location. It’s in a strip mall. Ambience was nice. Decor was good. Service was spectacular and knowledgeable. Just a little overpriced for the location I thought. But overall, great experience.
Made a reservation, hoping for a romantic dinner with my wife (noted in the reservation text). Upon arrival I noted parking is at a premium so be prepared to have to valet park. Next, with a near empty dining area the hostess attempts to seat me right by the restroom (yes, that’s romance for you). The food was well flavored, with an extreme eye toward presentation. The wine selection was acceptable with varietals from Napa Valley and Paso Robles predominantly. Ultimately, despite acceptable food and wine, it was the service that disappointed me. It’s not that the service was bad, just lackluster from the hostess to the waitress, in my opinion the only person working on par with the quality of the restaurant was the busboy.
Excellent variety of wine to purchase and drink! I love the family owned feeling and lamb trio slides.
Fantastic service, great knowledge of wine and great atmosphere for two.
Love this place. Very boutiqueie. The owner was and staff gave us five star service. The food was excellent. I can’t wait to go home and tell everyone about it.
Not impressed !. We have been to Wineworks twice, first time about 6 weeks ago and had a pretty bad experience with the food, so we thought we would give it asecond chance. Big Mistake. Second time was even worse.Food is lousy (…most of the dishes we got were cold), service is providedby a bunch of (not very motivated) college students and surprisingly the wines they serve are far below average and also way overpriced. For example a glass of Chardonnay for $ 20 !To sum it all up: There are much better restaurants in OC to spend your money !
