Best BBQ in Modesto. I order lunch from Doc’s when I can get across town, its kind of on the western most edge of Modesto. It’s a small family run establishment. The BBQ is outstanding! they have 3 sauces mild, medium or hot. I’m not man enough for the hot, but hot fans love it. They slow smoke cooked ribs, chicken, tri tip and pulled pork is amazing. I have even highered them on one occasion to cater a party for 70 people. We had 3 meats two sides and peach cobbler. Everyone had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed the food. The ladies that came along to serve were very helpful and worked very hard to please the guests.

Friendly staff, tasty food, and timely service! If you want great BBQ this is the place to come + the sides are just as good as the entrees. Don’t forget to order dessert, I recommend the banana pudding or the cobbler but you can’t go wrong with anything. – James
