Love this place. My family and I have been going to Osaka since they opened and after eating sushi all over the states I must say it is one of my favorite restaurants to frequent. We AL WAYS have wonderful service and the food is delicious. We have never been disappointed by anything we order.

Panda Roll. This is one of Osaka Sushi’s more expensive rolls ($18), so, because of the price, I decided that it must be something really special. Unfortunately it’s not. There are way too many ingredients in this roll causing the flavors to clash.22 Jul, 2010I absolutely love this place. The sushi is so artistically presented that you almost don’t want to eat it. Once you take a bite, you’ll find that it is total bliss.
I have been to a few other Suahi places in town and this one is our favorite. The Red Dragon Roll is awesome. Service was good when we had a Saturday lunch. I would recommend this restaurant as a better than average Sushi spot in Modesto.
Just for foodie1313, FDA regulates raw fish in the US, it must either be frozen at -35f for 15 hours or -4f for 7 days so of course it was frozen at some point in an effort to kill any potential parasites.15 May, 2009The sushi there is to die for, it melts in your mouth. I love sushi and have eaten at all the sushi restaurants in Modesto and this one is by far mine and my husband’s favorite, even my 4 year old loves it.
Eww. I had high hopes for the restaurant, as this town is a bit lacking in good sushi places. The atmosphere is nice and service good. The sushi, however… not so great. The sashimi was tasteless, waterlogged and mushy -sure signs of PREVIOUSLY FROZEN FISH. No respectable sushi maker would ever use frozen fish! I was incredibly disappointed and have not, and will not, be visiting again.
They lack a good sushi roll selection, but what they do serve is deIicious. If you decide to go for this restaurant just make sure you come with time because the service is extremely SLOW!
