A lot of restaurants come and go on Castro Ave. and I think we finally have a good Neapolitan style pizza spot on this street. I would think its safe to assume that this place will be a keeper. They cook their pizzas in a wood-fire oven and their yummy burrata is homemade. For appetizers I love the fried artichokes, fried calamari, and burrata. As for Pizzas their Margherita, Doppio Zero, and Pizza De Angelo are pretty good. I’ve had their Pescatora pizza which is a seafood pizza. It was was good but I didn’t Love it. Their wine selection is good enough. Overall it’s a nice place to have lunch or dinner. The service so far has been ok. Parking is always a challenge in downtown especially during the peak hours.

We went to doppio once again. This is a place we have visited multiple times. The food is consistently good and the service friendly and prompt. The branzino was cooked perfectly with nice crispy skin. The squid ink pasta was very good and the calzone was very flavorful. Dessert, the cajoles were terrific and the lemon cake, wow! This is a terrific place and would highly recommend it to anyone.
