Morocco’s restaurant is a splendid take on North African and Middle East cuisine. The place is located on the busy Castro street and is definitely a must visit place. They have belly dancing on certain days of the week and different live music on other days. The belly dancing was unique experience for me but honestly I felt embarrassed to see a half naked girl dancing in front of me. The ambience is really beautiful and catchy with lot of murals on the walls, bedouin type ceiling curtain and add belly dancing to it. They play famous Arabic music and adds to the authentic experience. Items on my order Spiced coffee, roasted potatoes, veg couscous dish with caramelized onions, deep fried sweet with honey and almond sauce. Rating Food 5/5Ambience 5/5Service 5/5Value for money 4/5

Nice atmosphere; competent food. In all honesty, there was nothing that special about the food in the restaurant, but the fair prices, the attention to detail placed on the service and the gorgeous ambiance make it more than a worthwhile diversion. The stars of the meal were the roasted peppers for the appetizer–a true treat if you are a royal cumin lover like me. Anise bread was good but unexceptional, would have liked to have more anise seed baked in. Mint tisane was good, but it was too sweet (would have liked the option to sweeten it myself; I do not sweeten most tisanes). Sweet veggie couscous definitely lived up to its name–in hindsight, I wished I had ordered the savory, because it was almost overpoweringly sweet…not to take anything away from the properly roasted apricots. It could have been a bit more balanced, but it was still perfectly palatable. Husband’s tagine could have used a bit thicker of a sauce, but most all the flavor was there.Do not let anything distract you from exploring Morocco’s, though. The only thing that could add to the atmosphere is some floor seating, and the staff is one that honestly cares that you have a fulfilling experience.

Horrible customer service, avoid this place ! We reached at 9:40 PM on a Saturday thinking we would have more than an hour before the restaurant closes. After waiting for around 5 minutes within the restaurant, a guy asked us to take any seat. Now note, other members of the staff were going about their business , and chose to ignore us. The guy was talking to a table , and continues to do so. A waitress came over to serve us water. But surprisingly, did not give a menu or ask us if we wanted drinks. Another 15 minutes, a waiter comes over and says he needs to check if the kitchen is open. Waiting for 10 minutes, no one checks, no menu . We just drink water. Then , the waiter comes over and says he is unable to check as the chef is talking to the table. Now, we put two and two together , and assume the guy talking to the table , who asked us to sit , is the chef. We keep on waiting . Another 5 minutes, the waiter says the kitchen is closed. After hearing this , we left with no food and a bitter memory vowing never to come back again. I fail to understand how a restaurant can run with such a bad bad service. Now , if the kitchen is closed, why the HELL would you ask customers to come in , and wait !!!

Great food and ambiance. We first tried moroccan food at this restaurant. The food was well prepared, fresh and flavorful without being too spicy. The staff were friendly and attentive. The decor is great. The bill was reasonable for the great meal. I had the chance to try moroccan food in Marseilles France and found it to be similar to the food at this restaurant. So I guess it’s authentic. This is probably the best moroccan food in the South Bay.

All around fantastic experience. I drove by Morocco’s Restaurant some time ago and told myself that I needed to try Moroccan food for the first time, which I finally got around to tonight with a friend of mine at Morocco’s Restaurant. I think I can speak for my friend when I say that we were both very impressed. The ambiance of the restaurant is very classy, romantic, and authentic. The service is very friendly and welcoming, and the food was phenomenal. We had the spinach and fruit salad, a lamb dish, beef dish, and basmati rice which were all perfect. I have nothing but great things to say about this place and encourage anyone to try it out.
