For those trying to experience the breadth of Indian cuisine, I think this place is a great start. They have food from many states in India & the food is quite good, for all the variety offered! Being a North Indian restaurant I wouldn’t say the dosas here are out of the world, but they’re a great place to have it without waiting 2 hours in the sun (I’m looking at you Madras Cafe!).The pricing was quite fair really. And though the place is crowded, the ambiance is quite good if you ignore your noisy neighbors!

Good place to have indian cuisine. The food quality is okay. I liked the ambiance a lot. I am sure it makes the plan to have an indian cuisine special. I also liked the hospitality of the staff.

I had tried samosas and cream roll here. Samosa was very blend but did have a few flavours. They should provide optional masala for those who like to add a bit of more flavour to samosa. Cream roll was blend too. I expected it to be a lot sweeter.

This review is for Passage to India bakery in Mountain view. Don’t buy cake from here. We bought one of the cakes from here for our daughter’s first birthday. We bought it on Wednesday and cut it on Friday and kept in refrigerator hoping we can serve our friends coming home on weekend. We bought cake on Wednesday from another shop too and it was cut and kept in refrigerator. It also had decoration. That cake lasted not only on weekend but for a next coming days. But this cake got from Passage to Indian didnt even make it to Saturday. When we served our guests they told us the cake has gone bad. It was soo embarrassing for us. I called them on Monday to tell about this. The lady who picked up the phone spoke to me so rudely and such a bad way that even a shop owner in India won’t talk to you like that. But she shouted on me and was not willing to listen anything. She said there might be problem n your refrigerator. When I told her there was another cake bought from another shop same day and that is good now too, she said don’t tell me about another cake. She shouted on me and said we didnt have any other complaints from that lot so you can’t have a problem. I said all our guests said the cake has gone bad but she was not willing to listen. I called again and the same thing happened. She shouted on me and insulted me. I thought she would provide another replacement cake. But she was not willing to listen or do anything instead she was shouting on me. It was so insulting. They dont have any manners and have no courtesy ho to speak to their clients. Never gonna buy cake here. This is most disgusting customer service experience I ever had and the fact is they basically dont care. Really stay away from this bakery.

This is a good place to have Indian food but not that great as compared to others. The food was good but I didn’t like the snacks. Even the buttermilk was too dilute and lacked the actual taste. But still, if you are hungry and looking for affordable Indian food, you can give it a try.
