First time at Honeycutt Farms. Arrived at, or near, 1 PM on a Wednesday. Place was moderately filled, but we had a glimpse of that kind of short fuse display that comes about when overworked staff can not hold it together anymore. One of the ladies kind of snapped at we, the newcomers, as we pointed to an empty table. Needless to say, we were all used to it, having dined in countless establishments over the years, and naturally, having encountered a few mildly neurotic outbursts. Happy to say that the blondie left her shift a few minutes later, and our waitress turned out to be a sweetheart from that moment onwards. Always on the search for good breakfast places, and the reviews for Honeycutt Farms offered promise. Food ordered: Senior offering, $6.50? 1 egg, 1 strip of bacon, toast, potatos. Our lovely mama seemed to enjoy it thoroughly. 4 Stars.ABC Omelette (Avocado, Bacon & Cheese), $10.50 plus? Not a lot of avocado, or other ingredients. A little on the dry side with their home made potatos, which tasted fine. 3.5 Stars.Cuban Sandwich, $11+? Definitely outclassed by the real version. Edible, but not to be repeated. 3 Stars.Pastrami Sandwich, $10.50. On rye bread, light serving, mild pastrami lacking flare, next time I will fly to New York for a decent version, and amount. 3 Stars. Bought a pound each of sliced ham and turkey. Just okey at $6.99 a pound. 3.5 Stars.Coffee acceptable at almost $3 a cup, service efficient and warm, these ladies work hard. 3.5 Stars.
