We enjoyed our dinner at Cook but something weird occurred. We had made a rezzie for 6:30 by calling them. then when in town we walked in to see if we could change to 7:00. This mature woman said impossible due to their booking. we said ok see you at 6:30. Upon arrival the place was almost empyt. By 7 noone but us had arrived. By 730 only one other couple arrived at the counter. And the Tavern next door almost empty. Wonder what she was thinking about being booked? NOT. but damn good grub!

My Brah in law, after some wine tasting at Farmstead at LMR (overrated and they just nickel and dime you) and some friendly arguing about who has the best Pinots (I contend anywhere in Oregon over Northern California), mentioned he wanted to pop into Cook at Main St for a gnash and a beer.I will keep this short: I ordered a fried pickle dish and a nachos plate and a Pilsner. I received a plate of pickles with corn meal and minimal flavor, and the smallest nacho and cheese plate west of the Pecos. K enjoyed her glass of sav blanc,, one beer, one fried pickles, one microscopic nacho plate. With tip, out the door. $44.00 I will say good service, but Mothra says… $44.00 Really? 2.80 of 5.0
