Granola.. One thing…. killer granola!
Mothra Says…. Old Italian, Yep: Good. This is truley a bakery… Yes. But for K and I, we have visited the Model bakery not only for classic Italian homemade bread (SF sourdough as well), their pastries, but mainly for the coffee’s for about 15 years now. Rolling out of bed last weekend, K jumped into her gym clothes, me, my jeans and my Oregon hoodie….and out we walked the mile into the chilly 27F degree clear sky through this sleepy little 150 year old Italian wine village to this main st. bakery… but at 7am, a coffee delight was waiting.Yes they make some fru fru coffee drinks, but I always want my usual: a very tall strong Italian roast black coffee. Then, there is the smell of the baked fresh bread and the package of1/2 dozen freshly made English muffins which K had to have. Fluffy, light, thick and buttery. Also gold plated at $12.00 woof! But good, really good.Most of the baked bread here are large loaves either intact or sliced, and around $4.50 per loaf; that is a bargain by my standards. The desserts are loverly but me, not a sweet connoissure. Decadant but pricey. In this town, it doesn’t matter. Quality trumps price. I strongly recommend a visit to this bakery the next time you are in heart of Napa Wine country. Mothra says….. coffee and a loaf of fresh bread to go. 3.40 of 5.0

The egg ham and chipolte pesto on a homemade English muffin is so wonderful. One of the best bakeries I have ever been to.
