Off to a great start here at Angle! Atmosphere is gorgeous. We decided to sit outside just next to the river walk. Really fantastic and comfortably elegant ambiance. Not too pretentious. I had the Lillet the Day Away cocktail, which was very balanced. A little too tart for me but I expected that with the grapefruit juice – still wanted to try it. Very good. Terrah Koppie Gavrilos had the Diane Lane with rosemary, which she loved (she’s a sucker for rosemary). From there, we tried two appetizers – both were fabulous. I favored the warm Ricotta Custard over the deviled eggs, Terrah, the opposite. Both were exceptionally prepared and took us on a wonderful adventure of discovery through our palates (yes, I know, hyperbole but I can’t help myself – they really were super yummy). Next up, the entres. I had the Quail and Terrah the Branzino. Both were very well done. The Quail was stuffed with warm country bread and corn, which went perfectly with the soft texture of the meat. The dish also came with Ratatouille and tomato marmalade. I think it was technically wonderfully executed. It all went well together but I personally learned that I’m not a huge fan of Quail, oh well. The Branzino, on the other hand, is something I found that I absolutely love. Both dishes were complemented well with great recommendations from our waiter. I had a 2013 Napa pinot noir (Failla, I want to say?). Terrah had a very smooth French Sancerre, I forget the year. The strawberry tart was fair but the Lemon Semifreddo was exquisite. Really, quite a culinary night and so thankful for a great experience filled with a lot of learning. Awesome dinner and experience.

You don’t want to eat here. Although we had a reservation we were sandwiched between 2 noisy tables. The noise from the next table was deafening. We couldn’t hear each other speak. No attempt was made by management to quell the noise. We asked for a table with a view but instead we had a view of a wall.No attempt was made to reseat us until our main course was finished.Management comped us a carafe of the house wine to make up for the experience. We couldn’t leave fast enough. We traveled a long way to enjoy the Napa experience. We left very disappointed.

A Pleasant Surprise. Having both vegan and non-gluten diet makes it difficult enough when dining out. When I decide to go to a French restaurant (because that’s what the group decided) I don’t plan on eating much. I was very surprised that there were several options, and if I didn’t like any of them the chef would make something for me. I don’t remember what I had but it was great, well seasoned, well prepared food. What I really liked about it is the fat that it was an entree and not sides put together to fit my diet (which usually what happens when I dine out). Thank you for being flexible to accommodate my dietary needs!

I must say I was impressed by the impeccable ambience and location of Angle. Loved the decor and the ambient lighting. The staff were nice and attentive. The bar area is picturesque and the dinning area inside is quite lovely. The patio is situated overlooking the Napa River and is equipped with heat lamps which comes in handy on cold nights. Angele is a nice place to sit and enjoy a delightful experience of fine dining. Whether you’re out with your female friends or you’re on a date or you just want to sit and enjoy a glass of wine and a nice meal by the bar, Angele is a restaurant to go to in Napa.

A place to eat slowly and enjoy…. A real pleasure of a restaurant. Tucked in one of Napa’s nooks, this restuarant offers haute cuisine and some of the best wines California has to offer. The lighting is perfectly set to the restaurant’s atmosphere, as is the calm and collected demeanor of all the staff. You will feel relaxed and realize what the experience of fine dining is really all about. Order the succulent oysters and pair it with a Chardonnay (all the servers know their wines), or go for one of their cuts of steak, paired with a California Cabernet.

Dont be in a hurry. Order a bottle of wine, sit on the patio and enjoy yourself. take time and eat through the menu, great date place. Even if your married. My wife and I eat her when ever we’re in town.

Great experience. Ang’ele delivers French with a flair. Very cute little dinning rooms, nice and romantic. The food was upscale, but not pretentious. We enjoyed a nice four course dinner, Napa midrange in cost, but top notch in taste, presentation, and preparation. Not in an area you would expect a gem.
