This restaurant has a great atmosphere. We were seated at a table near the kitchen and there was an uncomfortable cold draft in us. The service was excellent. The food was very average. We all shared a pizza as a starter. It was very understated and I’ve had much better. My main course was the sea bass and polenta. It was so salty that I battled my way through it. This restaurant came highly recommended to us. The rest of the party found their food ok. Perhaps I ordered the wrong thing.
It was a busy Saturday night in CA Wine Country and 8 girls had not made a dinner reservation. We called Bistro Don Giovanni that afternoon and they agreed to seat us for dinner at 8:30 pm. The service was impeccable, the product knowledge was impressive, the food was phenomenal making the overall experience fantastic. Our entire party fell in love with the butterscotch dessert and the icing on the cake was the chef, sending us a copy of the recipe so we could attempt to create it back home in Canada. Thank you Bistro Don Giovanni for a wonderful experience! We will be back!

Highly recommend but do make a reservation – always full when I go here. Patio was not crowded but it’s very chilly during November – March in Napa at times.
