Lovely!. First class all the way! Delicious gourmet meals, breathtaking views and impeccable service…. One of the most interesting ways to spend the July 4th holiday…. Great seats for fireworks! Nice blend of locals and wine country visitors too. Not inexpensive but worth it especially if celebrating a special occasion…..

Romantic. Went with cat cooper….awesome experience with great views! The food is very good and a very special treat! All good and first class. The entire outing is very well arranged and they do a great job. For a special treat….this is the ticket!

This is by far one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. As a local, it made me appreciate Napa Valley in an entirely different way. The food was amazing and everyone had a smile on their face. I would do it again in a heartbeat!

Old time elegance. From the time we stepped on the train we were transported back in time. Not the cheesy period acting but old world elegance. We started off in the tasting car and enjoyed a sampling of various local wines on the way up to St Helena and moved to the dining car on the return trip where I had the petite medallions of beef which were fabulous! Fresh perfectly cooked green beans and fluffy garlic mashers accompanied my meal. We took the daytime train so we could enjoy the scenery as we rolled along and had the feeling of royalty from start to finish. The tickets were well worth the price and I strongly recommend this journey. We frequently buy friends or family tickets as gifts to rave reviews. If you are new to wine drinking show up early, they will have a short class that explains some of the nuances to enjoying the grape. I strongly recommend spring time when all the mustard is in bloom.

Fun and different. The Wine Train is an out and out tourist attraction in the wine country. It is a ride. A train ride. A real train ride, with wine and food.If you ride Amtrak, you may have had the dining car experience. It is not that. This is an old beauty, and it tours the wine country. You can either take a trip with a winery stop or not. I would recommend this not so much as a dining experience as a fun afternoon out with someone special. It is a delightful idea for a parent and older child – a special date. There is cider for the kids, and the experience has that oh so adult sensation at the same time. As a couples date, also fun. Fun because it is different. It gives you ample conversation time, getting to know each other time. Good for those phases of dating. Later on, it could be cheesy. The food is pretty good.

For You Rail Fans. A great experience to do once, would gone during the day though to enjoy the scenery. Service could have been more should have been consistent for each table not one having 5 star treatment, and others 3 stars.

Riding the Rails to Good Cooking. We had heard a great deal about dining while you ride the rails. So we reserved our seats and were never once disappointed from the drinks served before dinner to the entrees we enjoyed. And the atmosphere was exceptional. Imagine looking out over Napa Valley in a dining car slowly while you are served exceptional food by cordial servers. I want to do this again for another special occasion.
