About
Alta Bakery + Caf is much more than your basic coffee and pastry shop. Alta is part of Cooper Molera Adobe's 2.5 acre National Trust in downtown Monterey. In addition to creative coffees, house-made chai, pastries, cakes, tarts and fresh baked breads, Alta offers cooked-to-order items such as Salmon Toast, Avocado Toast, Fresh Soups, Salads, Paninis, Pizzas and Bowls. Several mimosas are on the menu along with beers and kombuchas on tap as well as bottled beers and wines. Enjoy all of the above at the Diaz Adobe room's community tables or in our Garden dining area. Stroll through the gardens and orchard and visit the museum while at Alta. Alta also offers private dining options in the Diaz Adobe and in the Gardens.Details

Super cute little cafe tucked in next to the museum. Great outdoor seating area with a view of the gardens. I had the avocado toast which was a little masterpiece.
We walked in by chance, and was surprised to find this beautiful hidden garden with great pastries. Really enjoyed the atmosphere.
This is located within the Cooper Molera Adobe, Lovely venue to spend and afternoon by ourself or on a date.I look forward to going back! just around the corner from the Trader Joes plaza
