You basic tavern with your basic food. Nothing special foodwise. Nothing local or interesting that I could see.If you’re a beer geek like me you’ll likely be disappointed. It may be because distribution is limited around here. Most of the brews are from big corporate breweries. The do have some Stone, Green Flash and Dogfish Head. At first I thought they brewed beer here, but nope. Nothing local. If you’re looking for good beers try Alvarado St Brewery.
A nice treat after a day at the aquarium, just a few blocks walk away. A little overpriced but very good. 3 year old daughter had the pumpkin soup which was delicious. I had the braised short rib grilled cheese which was awesome. It even had cheese wings on it that I came to find out are also functional by holding in the contents as you eat so the meat doesn’t slide out. Good beer selection as well.
My food was really fantastic, a guy from bay bikes said it was hit or miss here but my fianc and I went and loved it! I got the Panko Crusted Sand Dabs and it was so amazing!!! They give you a lot, I was full for the rest of the day! My fianc had the chicken bacon chibatta and loved it also! I went on Halloween with my fianc so maybe that’s why the staff was off? The hostess at the door was a little cold, and our waitress was great but they were a little unprofessional, they talked a lot right in front of the customers so I mean? But some people don’t mind that at all! This place isn’t a true brewery, it just has lots of micro brewery’s on tap! You get lots and lots of choices!
