Some of the worst Chinese food I have ever had. Being from out of town and in the area would try it ,saw this place driving by. Place was dirty and dingy should have left then as my wife suggested. After our food arrived the owner and waitress ,s where involved in a loud and hostel argument in Chinese with a patron two booths(four people in all) away which was scaring my family when i ask them to stop it was ruining are dinner they just continued,This went on for twenty minuets . Had to leave without finishing a already bad meal. STAY AWAY
You know, this is a great downtown Chinese restaurant. It’s an exceptional value as well. One thing I like is they include an ample amount of fresh vegetables within their dishes. No fooling around, (actually some of the waitresses are quite fun) probably Monterey’s oldest and best.
Great Comfort food. I am so addicted to their WonTon Soup!!!! It is a must have. Rich with meats shrimp and veggies. the only thing I might amp up is the broth flavor but I am forgiving that because the soup is sooooooooo yummy!!!!!
Sensational Lunch Specials for $5.50!. Awesome service, as always! Large portions, inexpensive prices, but most importantly the food was PERFECT! I need my food a little greasy; it digests better. The flavors were enticing. The chopsticks help me pace my meal. Did I mention it was WONDERFUL! A+! Many Thanks! to John and all the pretty working women of Chongs.
