The pizza was heavy on fat and thick non-crispy crust. Good after a long day of sports, but not anywhere close to extraordinary! Side salad was boring! Busy place and many children (ideal for families).
Excellent pizza and atmosphere. From the time you order at the counter and buy a fresh breadstick or two until you leave Gianni’s is a winner. We had the Hawaii Delight and a pepperoni and sausage pizza. Both were terrific. The Cokes are good too…not watered down like some places. We didn’t get Gelato for dessert, but there were over a dozen options. We’ll be back.
I visit Monterey a couple times a year. This is a must eat very time I visit. I brought my family of 11 and everyone loved it. We ordered 6 of each bread sticks and 2 large pizza’s. We all ate as much as we could and still had some left overs. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone who comes to Monterey. A+++
On a busy Friday night, we sat at the bar served by the bartender Angie. What a sweetheart! The pizza here is wonderful and the atmosphere is lively. Definitely we’ll be back again.
Good pie. My wife and I had our first pizza from Gianni’s last night. We both liked it the crust has a good chew to it and the service was pretty fast, I’m sure we’ll go back.
Cheese Factor. This was a thick, cheesy pizza, without a tremendous amount of flavor. We had sausage, onions, and black olives on our pie, but it mostly tasted like cheese, which was laid on heavily. The servers didn’t care much about us. It felt a little bit like a factory.
Yes, we have been to New York also and the water makes their crust different, for Monterey The sauce the sausage the cheese yum! Also never get pizza in Great Britian horrible!26 May, 2013Best pizza for years in Monterey! Always come here, take out and dining! We love it and so does everyone we know. The phone people on 5 /24/ 13 was bad though, really rude. But we still got what we like perfect. So I still will get our Italian dishes here.
