Came here for Cinco de Mayo and was thoroughly disappointed. The service was slow and the food was sub-par. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for good Mexican food or a nice night out.
My hubby made reservations here for his birthday, which also happens to be Cinco de Mayo. We figured a Mexican restaurant would be busy, hence the reservations. We arrived to find out their reservation system wasn’t working, but they managed to seat us quickly, as the restaurant was only about half full. We were a party of 4, but the table was only set for a party of 2. We were not given menus. A table near us was ordering and my daughter asked what we were eating and I replied that I had no idea since we didn’t have menus. The waitress overheard me and brought over 2 menus. (No kids menus provided.) A few minutes later she took our drink orders. A bit later she came back with our non-alcoholic drinks, chips, salsa and took our food order. (Apparently there was a kids menu when she took our order, but we never saw it.) She recommended the ceviche, so we got that appetizer. Quite a long time passed and we finally got our alcoholic drinks. Another staff member brought out the ceviche and noticed we didn’t have enough flatware, so he brought more forks and napkins and chips. We finished our drinks and appetizer and were getting really hungry. Our waitress noticed our empty water and said she’d come by with the water pitcher, but never did. Our food finally arrived after we’d been waiting nearly an hour. We hoped the food would be great and worth the wait, but it was awful. I had the pork with mole sauce. Nearly inedible. My hubby had his choice of three items and they were all just okay. My kids were happy, but it’s hard to screw up a quesadilla and chicken taco. There was a second mention of bringing more water, but it never happened. None of our non-alcoholic drinks were refilled. We were not offered a dessert menu, even though we had mentioned my hubby’s birthday twice to the waitress. We were highly disappointed with this restaurant and we will not return.
