Great location and good view of Monterey Bay if you can get a table at the rear side of the restaurant. Cioppinos Special looked spectacular and the classic Clam Chowder in the Bread is good. Pizzas and the Market Lasagna were OK. We had linguini spaghetti which fared very good.
After visiting the Aquarium and shopping on Cannery Row, it was time for some lunch. There were several possibilities in the neighborhood, and we chose Louie Linguini’s. The restaurant is upstairs, and we were able to get a window table, with a beautiful view overlooking Monterey Bay. Well, being that we were at an Italian restaurant, I wasn’t surprised that SWMBO chose the Chicken Parmesan. She liked the chicken, and said the side of spaghetti was one of the best she has had at a restaurant. I looked for something with a seafood theme, given that we were right beside the ocean. Shrimp Linguini seems to fit the bill. Tender shrimp and mushrooms sauted with garlic butter in a lemon herb sauce, with fresh spinach and Romano cheese. Yum.Now time for more sightseeing.
