Nice Peet’s. Very friendly staff. Went at 630am, so they were not busy. But went by the evening before and it looks very inviting. Can’t go wrong with it. My croissant was good (but obviously not comparable to what you get in France). Will go again in the morning!
Great location and Quality Drinks. Even though it is a chain, this is one of the better coffee houses in Monterey. Convenient, perfectly located off the end of Alvarado, friendly staff, the espresso drinks are uniformly good and there is even free parking if you are driving. The only caveat is that they only have one hour on the internet, but I think this is a corporate deal. A good choice for a non-indie.
The West Coast’s Best. Everytime I come out to the West Coast, I have to find a Peet’s Coffee and Tea. The cappuccinos were perfectly prepared and the staff was friendly. I was only there a couple of days and they already memorized my beverage and name. Peet’s truly makes the best coffee. If you are looking for a full, smooth and thick cup of coffee, this is the place to go!
