I went here for my 7 year anniversary expecting much more than I have encountered. It was my opinion that this would be a fancy restaurant given that we had our new born with us.The service was great (especially David). We didnt care much about the Burrata and the pastas. I guess we may have to give this place another chance.
Cucina Enoteca just does it right. I’ve been here so many times – dinner, lunch, happy hour, Sunday brunch – and it is always consistently top notch. Amazing chef and equally amazing mixologists. Beautiful setting, feels a bit like the French countryside (it’s Italian, though). Outdoor patio with fireplace is cozy and fun. Love this place.
This is the best dining experience we have had in years! From our wonderfully attentive waiter (Andy), who was so patient with our NZ accents, to the amazing selection of wine (you can buy it at retail from the shop and consume at a $8 corkage), to the quirky decor – 5 Star, A+, top quality. As a vegetarian, I was impressed with my options on the menu. The artichoke and truffle hummus was delicious. I boldly ordered the mushroom bolognaise and it was outstanding. A meat eater wouldn’t have even realised it was vegetarian and the portion sizes were perfect. Hubby opted for the signature dish (short rib pappardelli) and wasn’t disappointed. We were having such a great evening that we even indulged in dessert, sharing a torta della nonna – pinenut and blackberry sorbet with lemon sago – YUM!Don’t forget to take a trip to the ladies toilets to make a wish… You’ll understand when you get there. We now can not wait to move to California, so we can enjoy this dining experience again. The squash blossoms rocked my socks…and I wasn’t even wearing any. They were stuffed with cheese and lightly fried and made the world seem like a kind and gentle place. I tried this place with the lovely Adrina Rose. We split the squash blossoms, the truffle hummus and the margherita pizza. They were amazing, excellent and very good, in that order 🙂 The food came out pretty quickly, and I loved all the details of the decor, from the embroidered chairs to the woven light fixtures. There was a nice amount of food left over between the two of us. Overall, it was a delicious first dinner in Orange County! thejewskimo.com
