Great pizza, Great overall appeal. Stopped in on the way home just to grab a slice to try their pizza for the first time. Great crisp crust (with just a little cornmeal on the bottom – excellent), deep flavor on the sauce (next time I will ask for extra sauce), which is a great blend with the mozzarella – which was not to thin, not too thick – just right. Really enjoyed it… next time, i will pick up a whole pie and take it home to the family. Looking forward to trying more of their dishes.
Placed a close to closing delivery order and the man who answered the phone was supernice. Pizza Roma was perfect! Sweet, savory, simple. The sauce is perfect and let’s the flavor of the crust and cheese come through. The ravioli was delicious andthe salad was good. Mobile review but I had to give my opinion..It was good!
Great lunch specials. I probably go here at least once a month for lunch during work. They recently moved next door to a larger location that allows for more seating. All the food is good – pizza is authentic, salads are large enough to share, pasta dishes are yummy and the sandwiches are filling. The staff is super nice and remember you if you been there more than once. They serve you breadsticks upon arrival to dip in oil/vinegar. I usually get a salad and pizza to share – which is more than enough for two or three people. But if you do have room for dessert, I highly recommend trying them.
A Taste of Italy in Universal City. This restaurant has moved to a really cool space next door to the old location. I was in there the first week they opened and it was hopping. The atmosphere is romantic and friendly. You can tell the owner is passionte about food and people. How many places do you go to these days where the owner brings you out a plate that he prepared just for you and it’s covered in shaved truffle. The night we were there we sat next to an A-list actor but it is still not a pretentious place. People talk from table to table. You hear people speaking Italian. It’s alive. The prices are pretty much the same as they were in the old place (which was very fair) and makes this new location our favorite place to eat any day of the week.
Love this place!. The thin crust pizza is amazing. The sauce is light and fresh. So far, my husband (who is Italian) and I have not had a bad meal there since they’ve opened. Now, they are in a beautiful new larger location just a few doors down. You can bring your own wine and experience this loud but fun little pizzeria. If they have the Truffle bags….it’s a must to order. 10 – 15 dollars for an entree. Excellent food for a great price!
I’m from New York and this is great thin crust pizza. Be sure to try the truffle bags also.
Very Average. I ate here twice. The first time I had the meatball sub which came with a small salad. It was ok, not bad, but nothing to rave about. I thought I’d try another dish next time. I ordered the lasagna, which they said they didn’t have and offered me ziti instead. It was an average size portion of baked pasta with a little sauce and melted cheese, plus the same basic side salad for about $8. A big disappointment and not worth the money. They have since taken both off the menu. This is a convenient neighborhood Italian restaurant, one of the few in the area, but I would rather spend that money elsewhere.
