Moderately tasty. Appetizers came out lukewarm, and entree was slightly underdone. Drinks were the high point of the meal. For these prices, I expect better. I’ve eaten her for lunch and enjoyed it much more. Tonight, disappointing.
Love this place!!!. Such a lovely meal set in a cozy relaxed atmosphere. Had the Hangar Steak special w/garlic mash & sauteed spinach; my companion chose the Atlantic Salmon w/risotto & enjoyed it as well. Fresh focaccia bread, creme brulee for dessert…yum. And you don’t want to miss the angel food cake w/lemon curd, fresh mixed berries & whipped cream. Our server, Chris, was delightful and host Erin completed the meal w/her charm. Can’t wait to return!!!
I was very excited to visit this place– I love wine and it’s a close albeit pricey choice near our house so my boyfriend and I decided to make a nice dinner out of it. From the get go we were disappointed in the wine selection. He actually works for a winemaker and they over inflated the price of wine that was realy not even a good choice and while we understand how the markup works do restaurant bottles, the wine itsel was not good and actually pretty loose, like it had been sitting around open for a while. I ordered the duck( we were splurging after all:) and he tried the chicken. Not only was the duck over cooked and greasy but the side of mashed potatoes they served was boxed mashed potatoes. No, I’m not kidding–the flaky, terrible for you stuff that even if they ran out of real mashed, thy could have at least warned me were coming so I could have changed to the limp, cooked veggies my boyfriend got. We’re in no ways well off or food snobs but as broke foodies, we can tell when we’ve spent too much on what should have been a nice, simple dinner. When placed like this are over hyped and under performing, I’d rather warn people that your $$$ dinner money could be spent elsewhere on a much more gratifying and deserving location. I’d spend Half as much and bring a nice bottle of wine to pitfire ( no corkage!) and enjoy a well made, delicious pizza:). We won’t be back, sadly but were happy to see all of the new spots reping the NoHo area well:)
Nice art on the wall and interesting decor. Friendly staff. Wine samplers are cool. Generous salads and entrees.
Clever food for NoHo. There is plenty of interesting to choose from on this menu, but I like to keep it simple with a pizza and their bottomless iced green tea. The service is professional but they seem to only be scraping by most of the times I’ve been in. They don’t seem a good fit for the neighborhood; if they had set up camp further south, in Studio City, I’m sure they would be millionaires by now.
Love this place!. Wonderful atmospere, music and service! Good menu – food is tasy!
Good selection. Good food and selection of drinks and wines, the service was pretty good.
