I was looking for a place to study and get a caffeine fix, and although I accomplished that I don’t think I’d go back. Upon walking in, I got a whiff of a horrible stench but I didn’t turn back. The menu is pretty limited but that doesn’t mean it wouldn’t be good. Unfortunately, I wasn’t a fan of the plain latte. I wish I didn’t let the guy talk me out of getting a flavored latte but it was nice of him to give me a suggestion. The place is pretty small and bright, but didn’t have that cozy coffee shop feel. It seems like it’s run by a group of hipster buddies that thought a North Park needed another minimalist coffee shop. Not a bad thing, but this particular place did not work for me.
I took my sister to a little shop nestled in the middle of El Cajon Blvd. My sister was the one that suggested the place, so I had no previous knowledge of what I was getting myself into. We wanted to go to a nice, quaint place and we ended up here. I was very impressed with the cleanness of the place. Their exterior was just as clean as the interior. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by a nice gentleman. Although they didn’t have a breakfast selection, they did have toast with butter. … and who doesn’t love toast and butter?.I ordered a herbal tea and a toast with butter and my sister ordered a cappuccino and toast as well. ( since we didn’t have much of an option) Drinks came quick and the presentation was phenomenal. I was very impressed by the fact that they added a design to my sister’s coffee. I must admit, I fell in love with the place. From the decor, to the vibe of the place. Prices were reasonable and the drinks were tasty. We had a long conversation about life while we drank our tea and coffee. I definitely recommend this place to all foodies out here in San Diego. adventuresoftiffandollie.com
