Casa Velasco is actually near the lakeshore of Bass Lake rather than Oakhurst. We were happy to find it and enjoyed the food. The atmosphere is casual and average. Wait staff were attentive and helpful.

We love Casa Velasco. Sad they left Oakhurst as they were the best Mexican food in town. Their food is great, service friendly and fast, prices are fair A great value. Wish I didn’t have to drive to Bass lake to eat there.
Another mexican restaurant in Oakhurst.. Like we need another. This place used to be good.. but has also gone downhill. They too have no clue how to add spice to their Mexican cuisine.
We had the shrimp tostadas, taco plate and steak picado. All were wonderful. Chips were hot and they had good salsa!
