By all means the food is delicious, the staff are friendly and the location is good. I would come here if I lived in the neighborhood and if I was up and out of the house before 9am. Trying to get a bagel after 10am equals waiting in a crowded, loud line and no chance of scoring a seat. I am happy the shop is doing well, although I must wrestle with my own internal guilt as I watch north Oakland transform into a gentrification paradise of pickling shops and yoga studios.
This place is the best! Awesome hip part of oakland, the staff are friendly and the greatest part is they have homemade bagels and all their ingredients are fresh and organic tasting. I had the mushroom omelette which came with a bagel of your choice (I had the mixed grain bagel) which had some bomb cream cheese on it and the spicy green side salad, which complimented the meal very well. I also had the chai latte here, which was so good too! Definitely recommend this place if you’re in the area or visiting!
