8,000 miles for this??. One of the things I look forward to the most, returning to SD from my overseas home, is eating Mexican food.My dinner at Ortegas was bland mush. I suspect it had been frozen and microwaved. There was no distinction in flavour or texture between the calamari or the tomatoes. This was a very disappointing night.
Really good veggie quesadilla! Don’t order the virgin pia coladas. They are nice and creamy, but they don’t add very much (if any) pineapple so it is not sweet at all. Salsa was ok.

Authentic and tasty food. Good service. Lobster enchiladas are worth a try.
Love this place. I have been going here for years. It’s by far the best Mexican place in OB. I haven’t had a bad dish yet. Their huevos rancheros are amazing and anything with their Pastor is to die for.
