Best Crepe I’ve Ever Had!. Cafe Daniel is a cute little hole in the wall located in the heart of old town temecula. I tried the Strawberry and Pastry Cream crepe and it was amazing! You can tell that everything is made fresh. I definitely recommend that you stop by. Worth every penny 🙂
Skip this place. So, we visited Temecula mid week and wanted to try something other than barbecue. Cafe Daniel looked cute, and offered a variety of coffee drinks, creeps, paninis, and a soup of the day. We ordered a turkey, swiss cheese, and Dijon mustard crepe ($9), and a chicken panini with spinach and a couple of fancy cheeses ($11). We thought it was kind of pricey, but figured we were on vacation, so why not? The crepe came out first. No napkins. They were at the counter and we had to ask for them. The Dijon was over powering. The panini came out about 5 minutes later. I sent the panini back after my first bite produced joint and tendon in the chicken meat, and a stale flavor. I asked for my money back, which launched a small investigation before they agreed. Also, although they had many coffee drinks on an elaborate chalk board, a small hand-written note taped to the board said they were unable to sell any coffee drinks! If you order a soda, expect it to come in a can. This place would have been pricey for a good crepe place, but what you get at Cafe Daniel isn’t worth half what they charge. Ew.
A small cafe that offers both sweet and savory crepes, panini, gelato, and baked goods. My crepe was rather mediocre for the price (for $9, I would prefer the batter to be less eggy). Cafe Daniel feels like it’s still trying to iron out some kinks– a few menu items were unavailable (No soup? At noon?) and our party’s items arrived at the table one at a time over the course of five minutes- they forgot about a panini order). But otherwise it’s a cute stop for a light snack among all the cantinas and grills that dot Old Town Temecula. Limited parking in front.
