On vacation, chose Embargo Grill because of high number of Likes and it was nearby. WOW!!! Delicious, ample, and inexpensive. My daughter had the Boricua ($8.20), a heaping plate of pulled pork, pink beans, yellow rice, a variety of leaf greens, and chopped tomatoes, with a Carribean BBQ sauce. She loved the half that she was able to eat and looks forward to the doggie box. I ordered the Key West combination plate ($7.95): grilled chicken, black beans, yellow rice, a variety of leaf greens, and chopped tomatoes, with a mild curry sauce. Unable to stop eating, I enjoyed the whole dish. I finished with a Key Lime Tartlet ($2.95) that had the right amount of tartness. My only complaint is that Embargo Grill is 2000 miles from my house. If you happen to live in the area, this restaurant should be in your regular rotation.

You can have it on a sandwich on.you can have it as one if their signature dishes w/yellow rice, black beans and chimichurry sauce.
Outstanding Food & Customer Service ~My Husband & I came for lunch on 2/2/14 (visiting from Syracuse, NY). We started off w/ the Embargo Grill Chicken Wings coated w/Caribbean BBQ & jerk sauce on side as an appetizer -Yummy! Tony had the Cubano/Media Noche & Canasta de Fritas..He really enjoyed the Cuban & the curry sauce is to die for! I had the Ocean Beach Salad w/Cameron (shrimp) & Plantain Chips-Crazy Good!
