Sleepy Sunday Service. I went in this past Sunday, we live right around the corner and I have heard great things about this place. It was not real busy (no real football), mid-lunch time and an average size crowd was there. We sat ourselves and service was quick to get out drinks. I understand that we came in a off time and this place has a reputation for being rowdy, but the atmosphere felt more like a funeral parlor then a sports bar. I usually test a restaurants quality out by seeing how well they do the basics. I love a good Fish and Chips, so I placed an order and my girlfriend got the Shrimp Wrap, which looked interesting as well. There was little fanfare when the food came, the fish looked like Van De Camps Fish Sticks with parsley and tasted even less great. The breading was soggy but at least, the fish was moist. The tartar sauce tasted more like mayo with relish tossed in and the fries were soggy. Not the quality Id expect when I pay almost 15 buck for fish and chips. My girlfriends wrap was mostly tomato, which she asked not to have and by the time she was done picking it out, a good third of the wrap was missing. I will give that what remain was far tastier then what I had ordered. The service was almost as bad, our waitress seem to be doing all the work, cleaning, busing, etc. Meanwhile the other waitresses sat and chatted with the bartender for almost the entirety of our meal. I felt bad our waitress and she was great when she was available, but I ended up waiting 15 minutes for a refill on my drink and by that time I was ready for the check.Possibly a good place for a burger and brew during a sports event, but my lackluster experience as a casual diner will not be encouraging me to come back.
Great place for Football!. I spent my Sunday at Offshore watching the Chargers beat the Raiders and I can honestly say it was the next best thing to being at the game!! So many awesome high def tvs, cold beer, great food and amazing vibe. That place was fired up! I’ll be there every Sunday for sure!
Offshore Tavern and Grill. I stumbled upon Offshore while looking for the Boll Weeval that used to be in Bay Park. It was quite a pleasant surprise to find Offshore, the atmosphere and the energy were great! I was craving a burger, hence Boll Weeval, l so I decided on the Offshore burger, it was excellent. I was there on a Wednesday night, they had half off all bottles of wine and I was quite impressed with the selection. I will definitely return to Offshore very soon.
Can’t wait to go back!. This place is wonderful! I’ve been there about 4 times and have had different things each time – all of which have been delicious! The shrimp cocktail is exquisite as is the fajita wrap and the fried mac and cheese…YUM! The place is set up very well with flat screens everywhere. Not only can you see a ton of different sporting events but they also showcase the latest music videos making watching the tvs as much fun for me as for my boyfriend 🙂 They also seem to always have a promo going as well. Last night we were able to check out a Nintendo Wii and play golf and boxing tournaments after dinner! The time before was wine night and the bottle of wine was half off! This place is great – I highly recommend it to all!
