Average at Best. The location for Felix Continental Cafe is in a prime spot in the circle in Old Town Orange. The awning indicates the cuisine is from Cuba or Spain, so i am not sure what the true intentions were here. For an appetizer, I ordered the Calamari, which the waiter of course indicated was very good. I guess that I am not a fan of the giant squid and prefer to have the smaller ones; tentacles and all. Deep-fried and served with a standard cocktail sauce. Tender, but fairly average in taste. I opted for a Cuban Sandwich while others in my party all ordered fairly typical Cuban entrees. My sandwich was okay, but not nearly as good as recent experiences in the Inland Empire Cuban restaurants. The other entrees were overly generous servings of food. Maybe some people feel like they are getting a great value for their dollar, but I believe that one should feel satisfied and not stuffed. When almost every table is taking home half-finished meals, either the food is really not that great or too much is being served. My opinion of Felix Continental Cafe is that it is a little of both.
