Good Food & Drinks. The food here is very good. Interesting, different enough to catch your attention. The lamb burger is delicious. There is also a traditional hamburger for folks who want something closer to typical American pub food. Portions are smaller, but you can enjoy focusing on a single item.If you like beer you’ll find a great collection of hand-crafted brews from a variety of locations. But if you don’t like beer (like me), there’s a full bar and some delicious takes on classic drinks. The Sazerac cocktail is delicious and refreshing. Service is good and prompt, and the place gets busy quickly even on weeknights.

Margarita flat bread said nothing about having pizza sauce on it and it was covered with it. They were out of the one thing we wanted to try. Server took a break in the middle (which is ok) but the substitute was frazzled. Not going back.

Different. I really like the idea of alternative food paired with a unique beer selection. I was really enticed with the idea of trying someplace new and different. My diner’s and I were first impressed with the inside decor. The menu was inviting.We chose (4) different entree selections and the Brussel Sprouts and homemade chips for appetizer. These were both great, and the Brussel Sprouts were very popular in looking around at other diners. Then came our entrees: 5 Spiced Pork Belly- too salty but has good flavor. Shepard’s Pie- very good. Grilled Shrimp & Grits; excellent. U-10 Scallops very expensive and disappointing. The scallops were not even close to U-10’s and (4) on a plate for $20 was a little steep. As for the beer, first round was great, we all tried a Maibeck, and found our groove. Unfortunately, ordering a second round was out of the question, they were out. Our second round was a mix of a stout and what we requested was something similar to the Maibeck. We were directed to a $13/glass beer that was awful. I guess the rule is do not trust your waiter without looking at the price first, but who would thought that on selecting a beer. Overall I agree with other reviews, they are trying too hard with the food. Great ideas and unique selection, but don’t get carried away- simplify it a little and it will be great…I want it to be great since this place has everything else to be a great place to be (aside from the $13 beer). I would recommend trying this place for food – maybe stay away from the drinks, and stick with favorites on the food side. I really want this place to be great…..maybe we have to give it some time to find the rhythm.
Great burger!. The Haven burger is excellent, one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. The decor is lively, sort of like an upscale pub. Great beer selection.
Had lunch there with 3 friends. Our waiter was ok until we said we wanted desert. He wandered off & we didn’t see him again for 15 minutes. I had the much hyped macaroni & cheese. It was ok but it was all you got. So I asked if they had a side salad. No. Two friends wanted the burger with cheddar instead of blue cheese. No. We wanted the apple tart with vanilla ice cream instead of blue cheese ice cream. No. It got annoying to hear what they wouldn’t do for you because it’s hand made so they know best. Really?! What happened to wanting to please a patron of your establishment?
WORST EVER! DO NOT GO HERE!!. Doesn’t like it – WORST STAFF. from the time you call them to going into the restaurant. ITS NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY OR YOUR TIME. the staff here is EXTREMELY RUDE. why give them business? simply take your money somewhere else and dont support Haven Gastropub.
