Review. This is an excellent place for quality German cold cuts with great service. The smoked pork chops and the German breakfast bacon are unsurpassed! We feel we are treating ourselves everytime we go to Matterns. I cannot recommend this place enough!
The Best!. The best deli in So. Cal. That simple. Don’t go there hungry. Doouble smoked bacon plus two other kinds of bacon, sausages, salamis, salads, Wieners, Nuerenbergwursts, Weisswursts, Bratwursts, Knockwursts, regular, spicy, with garlic or without, plethora of mouthwatering goodies, a heaven.Service – the old country, fast, friendly. Darn, I drive 25 miles one way every week!

Quite the hidden secret of southern california this deli is hard to find but well worth the hunt… they make the best sandwiches and have a great beer selection as well as many other german goods to buy… My german aunt-in-law, who live in Las Vegas, orders her sausages from them exclusively. If thats not proof in the pudding I don’t know what is. A must try!

A little bit of Germany. This butcher shop/sausage maker/sandwich shop/German and Eastern European specialty shop is a gem. If you need authentic European sausages you own it to yourself to visit.
